About Mint MD

Pursue Health.  Be Resilient, ever growing.  Be Mint

Dr. emily Anderson Elder MD

My Background:

I am a small town country girl from the plains of Colorado who decided to pursue a love for medicine and helping people.  I attended Colorado State University for my undergraduate education and then on to Creighton University Medical School.  I returned to Colorado to complete my residency at North Colorado Family Medicine.  I am a board certified physician who has practiced traditional family medicine for the past ten years.  However, my approach seemed more reactive than proactive, and thus, I pursued further training in functional medicine through the Kresser’s Institute ADAPT training program.

I am also a patient.  I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome when I was in grade school and, unfortunately, failed multiple traditional medical treatments.  When I discovered and learned about functional medicine, I finally found solutions that worked.  God put purpose into my pain; I had determination to find treatments that could not only help me but also you!

Who Else am I…

I am a wife to a rock star husband for the past eleven years and a busy mother to two amazing children.  I am a runner, yoga and recently HIIT fanatic.  I am an elk bow hunter.  I am a gardener.  Who am I?  I am much like you!
